Jenny Scherer

Jenny Scherer

I was born and raised in Delavan, WI. I graduated from Delavan-Darien High School, where I was an 11-time letterwinner in cross country, basketball, and soccer. In December of 2010, I graduated from St. Norbert College with a degree in Business Administration. I made the basketball team there my freshman year, rode the bench, and started running again, mostly out of frustration. I was frequently seen by the track coach, who eventually convinced me to join the team, and from there truly recognized how much I love to run and love being around others who do, too! I went on to run 4 years of both track and cross country for the Green Knights, where I was a 9-time All-American. My proudest accomplishment is, as a senior captain, helping lead my team to a Midwest Conference title in cross country, at which point we also become nationally ranked for the first time in school history.

I moved to Minneapolis seeking a better fit/change after running for the Hansons-Brooks Distance Project for a year and a half. I walked in to TC Running Company prior to moving here to check it out and immediately felt welcome. Lucky for me, they were looking for a full-time female staff member! I am already enjoying the great running community, as well as loving the wonderful, scenic places to run around the Twin Cities area! I look forward to continuing to compete at a high level, likely tackling the marathon sometime in the not so distant future! When I’m not running, I love to write/blog, hang out with my family (2 very supportive parents, an older and younger brother, and 2 awesome Australian Shepherd pups!) and friends, and help people of all ages grow to love running (nearly) as much as I do! I am both fortunate and proud to be a part of the great staff here at TC Running Company!
